@DigitalIslandboy Oprah's and Mariah Carey's houses are both close to my house.. actually 2 minutes away.. y would it b a myth.. y can Oprah have a house in Bahamas and not Barbados.. just that she visits it only every 4 years or so... Its a veryy huge house in Turtle Ridge, a place where many celebs have houses. Barbados is a beautifullll place, thats y Simon Cowell, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Bill Clinton are alwayss here, among many important ppl

@bajanhunk actually 1 Us dollar is equivalent to 2 barbados dollars,only bahamas and bermuda are on par with the us

How can anyone not love Barbados? I'm a Brit, I lived there for 10 years and the people are wonderfully tolerant of others. I've travelled the Caribbean and nowhere is friendlier. Barbados has a great infrastructure, NHS, and NIS. It's amazing. The island is stunning with a gorgeous coastline, public beaches, and turquoise sea. But there is poverty just like anywhere else. Those in deteriorating chattel houses don't all live in them through choice. x Love Bim x

I am from Barbados and I have also lived in Engand and travelled widely. There is no poverty in Barbados. The USA has poverty galore. In fact the standard of living in Barbados is even much higher that in the UK and many other places that I have lived or visited. Barbados is not Jamaica

Lovely video..made me proud to live here...I read some earlier comments blasting us and calling us poverty stricken..SHAME..Barbados is the most developed island in the caribbean, boast of the purest water supply in the world, the best education system in the caribbean and we also have the strongest dollar in the caribbean...it's no paradise..nowhere on earth is...but it's as close as you gonna get :)...c'mon over..we welcome you.
