3D Transformers Film (animated to original cartoon movie)

This is my 3D Transformers tribute to the original 1986 movie

All done using 3D Max 9.

1 week to model and rig Windcharger.
1 week to model and rig Swindle.
3 weeks to animate the whole thing.

was it because of copyright issues? Wouldn't you have the same problem using those characters though since they are in the Alternators line???

@poopychoo Gotcha, so u had to do measurements with those alternators to make it accurate with the animation?

not really. I did it all by 'eye' - no rulers or tape measures involved :). I modelled them in robot form first, then when tranformed into car form it was just a case of scaling things to fit

It's cool and all but, Galvatron being a jeep? Galvatron is more bad ass then that! and don't even get me started with Hotrod!... thats just wrong dude!

Great work, but it seems like waste to not use Galvatron and Hot Rod. Why go to all the trouble of making transformers who aren't in this scene?
