"Jojo Mayer's NERVE is a live electronic act from NYC that creates a new hybrid in contemporary music by cross pollinating intelligent DJ Culture (broken beats/d'n'b/nujazz, IDM etc.) with improvisational concepts of jazz.
NERVE performes "reverse engineered electronic music" in REALTIME! (no DJ's, drumloops or sequenced beats. everything is performed LIVE by drums, bass and keyboards)."

This blitzkrieg :) is the first tune on 2007 album called Prohibited Beats.

Personnel:
Jojo Mayer: drums
Roli Mosimann: real time audio deconstruction
Takuya Nakamura: keyboards, trumpet
John Davis: bass guitar.

Artist: Jojo Mayer & Nerve
Title: Prohibited Beats
Year of release: 2007
Genre: Electronic
Style: Instrumental / D'n'B / Experimental

Its not that simple. Unless you don't know the difference.

Your basically saying that they're ripping off "orginally electronic music" although throwing a positive in..."sounds better then the original".

What these guys do, hasn't been done before.

  • @wardearth i really don't see what there is to explain in such a simple statement.

  • @cavoglavi What original? As far as I know, they make they're own stuff up on the spot. Unless your talking about the difference between synth sounds vs instrumental music (bass guitar, keys, and drums).

  • Love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
