  • I have had some lectures where we discussed the real John Locke and I just keep coming back to these scenes where everything he says is so true, just recall and think of everything he said.. It was all true but nobody had believed him. Yes there are probably more emotional scenes or statements you would have to deeply think about but this is one of my favorite ones. What would have happened if Jack had believed him in time? Probably no need to make a big sacrifice and lose his life.

  • While I loved almost every minute of the show, I've had this particular scene on my mind. We had my grandfather's funeral today, and looking at him I couldn't help but think of what Locke said here. I was never really close to him(I'm really more worried about my father and grandmother), but seeing him so still seemed to make my stomach turn...in any case, I guess it just makes me wonder that the memory rather than the physical is what's really important.

  • Compare Jack saying "Whatever happens happens" in the series finale to "Nothing's irreversible" in the sideways.

  • This scene is really touching because it shows that if Locke and Jack didn't have the island to argue about they would have gotten along very well.

  • Jack Shepheard funny nice name :) he leads the flock so to speak.

  • This scene especially resonated with me because one of my main hopes throughout the series was that Jack and Locke could work things and be friends. I really thought they would be left as rivals in season 5. I also think its cool how in the beginning all Locke tried to do was help Jack and in the end all Jack tried to do was help Locke.

  • It kind of sucks... knowing that all these sideways scenes are pretty pointless until the last like three episodes...

  • what did you loose?! great....

  • "what did you loose?! great....

  • Locke's smile... <3
