Some of the Peter Schiff predictions include an economic crisis that will be much worse than what occurred in 2008. This is not only possible, but highly probable. This will probably happen much sooner than 2019. Hopefully it doesn't take that long. The longer that this problem gets put off, the more severe the crisis is going to be. It is a good idea to think about scenarios for how this all might unfold.

Governments rarely allow a crisis to go to waste. When this crisis happens, they will probably use it as an excuse to implement even more controls and regulations. We might see civil unrest, hyperinflation, and even marshal law. When it happens here, it will probably be much more severe then what we have seen in Greece and in Egypt.

Anything that competes with the federal reserve's currency will threaten the value of their notes. Even if everyone stops using them for business, they will still have at least some value as long as the government accepts them for taxes. If the federal reserve notes go into free fall, then businesses will probably stop accepting them for payments for their goods. They would be better off holding on to their products then to trade them for a constantly falling currency.

There are a few conspiracy theories out there about how governments and banks have been suppressing the prices of gold and silver. If this is the case, then they aren't doing a very good job, because the prices of these metals have risen dramatically during the past few years.

Without a doubt, there will be a currency crisis. It will probably begin overseas. Here in America, the first things that we will see rise are the prices of energy, food, and clothing. Our major companies will be bought by Japanese, German, and Chinese companies as they look for any way to get rid of their dollars. We will have to sell a lot of our stuff back to them overseas. It will be as if it is a giant repossession.

Many people will want to leave to seek better economic opportunities. What will happen then? Will the government stop people from leaving? We are a nation of immigrants who came here for economic reasons. Our grandfathers came here to seek freedom and economic opportunities, so there is no reason not to expect our children to do the same.

We are seeing these crises in Greece and Ireland, and it will eventually arrive here. It probably won't take until 2019. Those countries have been getting bailed out by other European countries, but there is no one to bail us out. Not only is the United States too big to fail, but they are also too big to bail.

People complain about gas prices that are at $3. What happens when the price is at $30, and their wages aren't rising. What will they do then?

  • @deanmat Alot of Americans do not understand how the Fedral Reserve works. Some Americans still think that the Fedral Reserve is a Government bank. Further more if you tell the average American the truth, they call you crazy and say "Na that cant happen here". Are these people really worthy of the lifestyle they have when thae do not understand how it is possible? It no dobt that these people will be confused and dangerous when the shit hits the fan.

  • Dear top two commenters, you both need to check your spelling and grammar before posting. You never know when you might end up on top. Fortunately you are correct, and I'm going to operate under the assumption that you were as intoxicated then as I am now. Still giving a thumbs up.

  • Sounds like fun. FTW Anarchy.

  • @Evenwas616 You're right. Before government existed, people starved to death en masse, no collaborative organizations ever existed, there were no such things as school or education and money was not even concieved of.

Thank god the state came along to invent farming, cooperation, knowledge and gold.

  • I predict Peter Schiff will never win a political office, in the next decade or any other. Not even the Nassau County Pooper Scooperintendent.

I predict Peter Schiff will only make himself look like more of a moron in the next few years, as it becomes even more clear that he doesn't have the faintest idea of what he's talking about when it comes to economics and the markets. I predict people will catch on to his political hackery before he even suspects they might.

  • @Evenwas616 no what we have is the worst system in the world. if you were to go on a killing spree then I would kill you. but in this system I dont because I dont want to go to jail. You keep thinking that building gigantic prisons is going to make things better but its just prolonging an inevitable disgusting war.

  • @king13shodaieEEE1 Anarchy is the worst system in the world, it's not even debatable, you don't get food in, you can't trust anyone else because there is nobody to keep you in line, schools are gone so our next generations will be idiots, currency is gone because it would be claimed worthless by other countries and once everyone in America realizes it, no order, no law, nothing, if i would go on a mass killing spree, nobody would take action to stop me, welcome to the jungle.

  • @king13shodaieEEE1 you pretty much said to let anarchy run loose, you do realize this? And also the likelyhood of us getting invaded if we have nobody in our military or police is extremely high.

  • the solution is to get rid of politicians and corporation and cancel the military and all police
