  • I saw Albert live in 1989 in Durham N.C.shortly after seeing S.R.V.live .Stevie was awesome, but Albert (already my favorite)was the most awesome show i have ever seen !Seeing him perform live was one night i'll never forget. When we were walking up to the building we saw him unloading his gear from his bus ,we spoke to him , he spoke with a wave also .He also jumped off the stage and at one time sat directly behind me.Now he in Heaven playing what he loves ,The Blues !!!

  • I love this video!

  • Although I love em all, give me Albert over Buddy, Albert K. over BB and Freddie, but I tie with Wolf & John Lee over Muddy, THE BLUES!

  • Another real fine piece from Albert Collins.

    We really miss you man.

  • Must be an out-take from showdown cuz thats Johnny Copeland throwing down that first solo.

  • No one is like Albert - the real King Of The Blues. I do miss him so very much. He visited here in Finland 1991 or 1992, Järvenpää Blues Festival (Buddy Guy were there too). I was there and never forget his great icy blues. Never. The BluesMan you can't find anywhere.

  • Theres an Albert tune called "blues for stevie" extremely hard to find, but its sooo sweet, just like this one.

  • What a special human being. He radiated a genuine kindness coupled with a mischievous sense of humor. Whenever I play a slow blues solo I think of Albert and pray for just a little bit of that mojo to channel through my fingers. Thanks for a beautiful post.

  • awesome post

  • Realmente estraordinario
