*** Part II ***
@sinusbradycardia As far as the "one is all it would take" theory concerning EMP, that's mostly Hollywood, but has some fact to it. Post-military, I was a serviceman for a large utility. It's no secret that the NA grid is antique, with no real plan to get it to spec. ANY large EMP will greatly damage it, probably not destroy it however. About the same with banks & such ... huge damage, great confusion, but not complete or irrecoverable. But it's definitely nothing we'd enjoy.

@sinusbradycardia Technically you're correct. Russia DID take all of the USSR nuke program. However, it became known several years ago that books were somewhat cooked, to not show that all couldn't be accounted for. In a way you can't blame them. Who would want to admit they can't find a ton of bomb-stuff, especially with Russia wanting to become "good guys". In 20 years since of squabbling over there, it's become hopelessly lost, probably even to the very countries who have it.
