Graco 18v Cordless Airless Spray

or also known as the Graco Minimax Spray elsewhere

This is the professional re-buildable version.

I was just testing it at this point, this isnt how i would go about painting a wall, just getting used to the unit.

needs proper fine finish setup (not the valve thing) and also needs full selection of filters.

You'll have to be right ontop of the cleaning with this unit, clean every single little thing after every use, or you'll have issues. otherwise works well, doesnt like being tipped to far up or down, so spraying a door to the floor could be an issue.

  • Its not for bog jobs I use it 4 touch up an trim .......works gr8 4me

  • @TheBabyj575 theres a couple of different ones getting around, different models i mean. I have had the first one, and this one which is supposed to be the latest and greatest with a higher capacity battery set, and a new chip thing inside. The thing did 2 runs of cornice a couple of metres, and now it only works if i have the fine finish optimiser in, which means i have to go over everything twice because it messes up the spray pattern. I have two other sprays which don't give me any trouble

  • UPDATE: i just spoke to the paint shop today, my unit has been sent under warranty, and apparently they have been inundated with repairs. these things are a PIECE OF SHIT. the staff at the paint shop made out like it was my fault every time i took it in, i think i was one of the first to return it. now they are being inundated with returns. Apparently there is a packing kit available which fixes alot of the problems. I'll be sticking with my wagner gear which has been trouble free.

  • machine even clog just with water

  • @SavPerro have you got one too? they are a piece of crap seriously. Its been back 4 times now for repair, even with large orifice tips, the thing still clogs up, and there is no way to properly clean it aside from pulling it apart which will probably void the warranty. They really didnt plan this one all too well. Also the thing is flimsy, it bends quite easily, two of the screws near the handle came loose and the casing started to open up.

  • update on this, using a 515 tip makes it stop clogging, or when it does clog, the machine has enough power to push it out.

this is using low sheen. usually i would be using a much smaller tip in the big spray for the work i do. i would say a 315 tip would be ideal for cutting in eaves, maybe a 313. i wouldnt use low sheen with less than a .13 orifice in this unit, its 18v batteries dont quite give it the power it needs for that.

  • @wesleytarbuck update again, machine still clogs, impossible to clean when it does finally clog, unless you dismantle the unit, which will void your warranty of course.

I've spent more time fixing this sprayer than using it, maybe the second release of this unit will be better, but this one is a pile of shit.

  • @wesleytarbuck i did...and as you can see they even report my recension as spam...but i will post the Graco link where they show the battery life...and i was not joking...mine clogs even with water...i preparing some blogs to inform people about those problems i had with this machine... it's not possible buy a "professional" machine and have battery life of 15 minutes and recharge time of 45 minutes (45 minutes only to have te battery at 80%).

    Piece of junk...
