Elliot Schrage, Facebook's VP Public Policy, was struck dumb by BBC reporter Emily Maitlis when she quizzed him about the ethics of "Sponsored Stories" on Facebook in a British television documentary.

If you press a "Like" button on a Facenook page that could pop up as a Sponsored Story. And there's no way to opt out.

  • Facebook contradiction found: When you delete, FB warns you that your account cannot be recovered. But in the dialog box it stated that you have 14 days time to reconsider your delete. When the period expires then your account will be fully deleted. So, your still exposed for 14 days

  • @ShadowWorldSniper dumb or not dont give a FUCK, BORN LITTLE FUCK ASSHOLE

  • @tk291100 You are really FUCKING dumb. Try it asshole. You'll get laughed at by the Judge for being such and idiot.

  • @orismology I think it worth the try to challenge this in court.after all in America anybody can sue someone almost about everything right? why not challenge FB and see if this thing is realy solid

  • @tk291100 I don't think anyone has the right to sue facebook over this. While the ethics of this are up for debate, the legality of this is solid.

  • SO FB U GOT PAY WHEN SOMEONE CLICK THE LIKE(AD button lol) BUTTON RIGHT?,IF FB GET PAY WHY THE PERSON WHO CLICK THE LIKE BUTTON DONT GET PAY TOO? I THINK PEOPLE CAN SUE FB FOR THIS

  • I've long considered facebooks actions on privacy and ad promotion to be disgraceful. I am only surprised that they continue to get away with it. Hopefully this will act as a wake up call. After all wasn't it the facebook founder who said that you'd have to be stupid to trust FB with your personal information...although I don't think he phrased it as politely as that...
