Greatest live album ever. Might be their greatest live song too. Combined, you've got sonic artillery fired by the aural Gods...

The best thing that ever was.

@wuss81 That chord. Is. Amazing.

I'd say the greatest studio artist is Devin Townsend, but he's too recent so people will hate me for saying that. In terms of the time (1960 to 1980), The Who is FOR SURE the best live band of the time. Studio? I'd say Black Sabbath. They were able to change the face of modern music in three days (their first album done in only three days, and all done as basically a live album with a bit of mixing). They were a band that could pound out classic albums like no other.

No way. The Beatles are and were the greatest studio band ever. The layers and instruments combined with unusual sounds never before used on record created instant classics.
At 3:15 I get the urge to sing Foxy Lady. Great band and great sounding concert

I think one could safely remove "arguably" from that sentence.
I'd say Led Zeppelin is the greatest studio band, but the Who is the greatest live band.

I play this whenever I need to remind myself of what Rock and Roll really is/was. What a piece of music. Learn kids....LEARN!!!!!! If you have a short fucking attention span....cut to 3:15 and go from there.

Super clarity, dynamics, top form!!
Take out the word "arguably" from the description.
