Merseyside's songwriting man of mystery, Lee Mavers, made a rare return to the stage to treat the sell-out crowd to tracks from their eponymous debut.
Joining him on stage was bassist Gary Murphy from the now defunct Liverpool band, The Bandits, as they belted out classics including There She Goes, Son Of A Gun and Timeless Melody. The event was the latest in a succession of surprise gigs including Manchester's Deaf Institute and Paris's Rock en Seine festival.
Lee Mavers returned to Liverpool for his first headline show for in nearly 2 decades. This homecoming show will brought a close to the 'Stripped Back' set that has seen a few selected and well received headline shows and appearances at number of festivals including Kendal Calling and Bestival.
Lee and Gary 'Bandit' Murphy would like to thank everyone for their support over the summer.
Mavers ran through his usual setlist and returned for a cover of The Who classic My Generation.
it's all good mate, best gig of my life.
