good job by the gate crew. this horse went into the pond due to heat exhaustion. they got the horse to a safe place and treated him. He had to walk out of the pond "summerhorse"...even if he was tied up as a result of this episode. Look at the big picture before you enlighten us with your vast equine knowledge.

I hope somebody tells them they shouldn't walk a horse that is tied up!

@MsRockinghranch The pond had thick mud, the horse was having trouble getting his footing. The pond is only 4 feet deep.

Looks like he got "tied up" where all the glycogen is used up and teh muscles won't work... hope he recovered ok!

Poor horse must have been so hot to resort to this.However,he is very smart,I would have done the same thing to cool off.Bothered me to see him struggling to get out & those men pulling on him like that.So glad is was o.k. after this.
