  • Oh yeah, cheers!

  • 19th of February 1985 was a Tuesday

  • "..to begin a season that features Hollywood superstar, Clint Eastwood.."

I bet some viewers actually felt that BBC wow factor, sitting on their armchairs or sofa.

  • Eastenders began on the Wednesday night then. 19th February 1985

  • The BBC was still very proper in those days!

  • It is Andy Cartledge.

  • yeah seeing as its boring enough to mbe a Sunday programme.

And I was born 5 years after this so how would I know.

  • Oh, and if the current rot in British pop culture (as measured by the mass experience) has a definitive prehistory it is to be found in Rockschool. The most Thatcherite programme ever made, no question.

  • No. This is a Thursday. Sunday was 17th February.

You don't honestly think Question Time was ever on Sunday nights, do you, Aidan?

  • No, there were three more evenings plus one more daytime period after this. The COW debuted before Wogan on the Monday.
