A shocking discovery! Searchers discover a mural in the region near where Mitrice disappeared. The images are of African-American women in degrading poses. An investigation is being conducted to determine if this has anything to do with Mitrice's disappearance. Dr. Ronda Hampton comments on the mural.

Mitrice Richardson disappeared after being released from the Malibu/Lost Hills
Sheriffs station on September 17, 2009. She was having a mental crisis and was
arrested at a Malibu restaurant. She was released around 12:30 AM with no cell phone, no wallet, no money and no way home. She disappeared and
has not been seen since.

This beautiful life was lost unnecessarily! The mural dipicts a woman with a joint in her mouth, Ironic she was found in a Marijuana filed!?! someone in the sherrif's department knows more than they are saying, I want to see the tape of her leaving,The mother says "who is the police officer leaving right after Mitrice"??? who indeed! Shawn is still missing. It will be 89 days since he first went missing and 59 days since the Long Beach Police picked him up at the Aquarium with no money in very poor condition. @rodeocowgirlboots , see? more consipracy theories. "There was no reason for that deputy (not sheriff) to leave the building." How do you know? Not at shift change? They over-lap shifts, so they leave at dif. hours. Everyone wants to jump on a cop killing her because it's so TV movie of the week like. Criminal neglect? WHAT? The deputy that let her out, followed her to kill her? And there's vid of him leaving... That's absurd, I'm sorry.

@musicworldnewstoday1 ...okay, and i'm saying, no offence. I majored in art. There is a chance that the "mural" did relate to her death. But it's all to "hollywood". Why would the painter leave totally vague clues.  It could have nothing to do w/ her. Couldn't the graffitti have just spelled it out? Like, what does the wheel chair have to do w/ anything?

@lovedog49507 SO, you work there? U know all law enforcement attitudes? No matter what the deputies did, you haters would still complain. If they kept her til morning, you'd be saying she was over-detained. Perhaps she went there to buy dope or meet someone and she was murdered. Who knows? Stop making all these general blanket statements, it's not helping find out what really happened.

@musicworldnewstoday1 ...I'm not picking on your post specifically, but "Sample the painting for DNA???" WHAT? Doesn't work that way. U all need 2 stop watching CSI and the like. And all these interpretaions of "art-work". Could it be that it has nothing to do w/ Mirtice?

Also, all these comments about the deputy leaving the station after she did. Yeah, they come and go 24 hrs a day. How long should they have waited to leave the station? Wouldn't matter, still conspiracy theorists abound

This is very sad & I pray for God to bless the parents of Mitrice with strength to continue to fight & seek justice in her name. I can't believe the federal government hasn't stepped in to find out what happened here. Someone within the sheriff's dept knows what happened to Mitrice. I believe the mural was painted by an individual who was possibly an inmate at the jail when Mitrice was booked in.This person (a trustee) witnessed or was made to help harm Mitrice & this is their way of showing it.
