@mikebarter387 with the water know if you take a 16-18 inch piece of webbing a follow that through which willl increase the bend radius there for making the knot stronger and giving the webbing about 80% of its original strength which would be about 3,999.8 lb tensile strenght for regular 1" tubular webbing and if u make that a sling it would be doubled which would double the strength
just tryin to help

Hey Mike, Great Vids as always.. We in the Irish Army use that truckers hitch quite alot for setting up rat slides and rope bridges.. We use an alpine butterfly and put on a screw gate in the loop to avoid rope on rope.

@qwertyv100 Probebly not such a good choice. Why not tie both knots beside each other, mess with them for a bit, then you decide.

That's one strange truckers hitch. It looks like a variation on the old style. I'd recommend learning the modern version.

First you need a pack saddle, then a horse to throw it on, need a belly band, packs, tarp. Now if you can do crevasse rescue while naked hanging by a toe upside down in the shower then maybe, just maybe, you could throw a diamond with 50 hours of private tutoring. Now that's a pretty small crowd out there so lets work on something more practical.
