  • Swanee, your mellow voice shines through 40 + yrs later. You were, and are, that good. You were under the annointing -- then. It was an easy transition to the strictly spiritual realm now--you were always there. You had the same smooth voice and stage presence then as you do now. You can't stop singing. It's not your voice now. It belongs to a world that still needs to hear your silky voice. You're never tired when you sing, so quit complaining and continue to sing Songbird. Barb

  • OMG! how awesome, my uncle wrote this song and is singing on this track. this was what real music was and will always be to me. it is so great that 40yrs later others are able to be exposed to it and like it. this was recorded 1968. GREAT MUSIC!!!

  • he went by Swanee and he's doing adlibs at the end of the song. and he's still as handsome as he was in '68:-) and still have a great voice.
