A lengthy excerpt of the classic ITV gameshow with hard to fire bolts. Making this clip extra brill is that it was recorded in Birmingham! This is widely stated as being the only colour episode in existence that is in broadcast quality. A handful exist on black and white telerecordings and quite a few more on domestic formats. From a Challenge repeat in 2004.

Nice big plug for a Southern TV prog right at the start!

  • I actually met Charlie Williams when he came to my home town (Pocklington), It was like greeting Yorkshire royalty, the town was packed!! I was only about 4-5 yrs old at the time!!!!

  • @hotlaurz Is she still afraid of mice? That was quite funny.

  • "meeemoreeeeez are made of thiiiiisssssss" lol

  • Jeez I'd forgotten how unsuited Charlie Williams was for this show - right out of his depth - all over the place. Thank heaven they had the sense to get Bob Monkhouse back

  • It's a scandal as to what has happened to those studios.

ITV plc cast them aside like rubbish.

  • OMG this is old
