  • Thanks for the video. I'm looking at the Malibu. I thought those rims were actually alloy's I didn't realize it was a 5 spoke steel wheel with a cover on it.

  • @tjstreeter do NOT get the alloys, they are worse than the steelies, unless you live in FL or CA where potholes are not an issue

  • steel wheels are weaker than alluminum alloys, so they bend more easily. try getting some 16" alloy wheels on tirerack or something. they aren't too expensive depending on the brand, or even 16 steel wheels with covers. not sure if they will fit your brakes though. wheels america and other companies can fix alloys if they do bend for ~$120.

  • @camaroman101 living in nyc i will never have alloys on my cars, they break too easily and they are too expensive. steelies can bend as you can see, but they usually do not go flat and they cost a fraction of the cost of alloys. my car is just a basic car to get me places, i spend my money on my house. there is a place called the tire rack that sells steel wheel and tire packages for the winter as ppl here who have alloys take them off and ride steelies through the winter as our winters are bad

  • are u running 40 psi in the tyre

  • @mafiouso the manual calls for 30psi, I have bumped it up to 35psi

  • Thanks for sharing. I want this car or the Saturn Aura and I would of never even bothered to look at the tires in that way. Thanks CrazyNYDriver!

  • You show the outer edge of the rim being bent. Is it not equally likely the inner part of the rim may be damaged and harder to see?

  • You need to watch out for pothole's with any car in nyc wheel's bend easy because they are light weight. And mpg in nyc will always be less then what they say with traffic and the lights.

  • Unfortunately every car has 17 rims these days even crown Vic taxis!

  • living on long islands a bitch to drive in, im sure ud know lol. we use an 03 odyssey with a shitton of miles on it for the city and belt parkway because it never bends a rim. good car, but the freakin potholes are endless.

  • @rhanks05 im pretty sure you're thinking of the impala that had tranny problems
