Ask any lute maker, they are making also such instruments (look for lute society on the net for adresses...) If you can't find one, or if it is too expensive, try a tenor ukulele... same tuning... ;-)

I would give all my city knowledge, all the items I own, one of my kidneys, and a lung just to go back into the times of where they would gather around the campfire in cold nights with cherry red faces and fiddle the night away with good friends and a kenning of meat in my hand. I would love to find someone with this instrument that could play the fast frenzy way. the one where its fun and people clap their hands. oh I wish I had a time box lol...
