As for making the T just be K, the problem with that is that the meaning of "inbound" gets weird after Embarcadero. Your scheme would mean that you would take an "inbound" K to Sunnydale even though you are getting farther away from downtown.

If you look at the T stations, they never say "inbound" or "outbound." Instead they say "To Downtown." I suppose Muni thought it would be more confusing to ride an "inbound" train and end up farther from downtown.

The problem with extending the N is that the N is the most-used line, so you'd need more N cars to keep the same level of service along the entire route to Ocean Beach. As it is now, the N cars return after the Caltrain stop rather than going all the way to Sunnydale.

Haha. Although public transit can be better, but it's likely it isn't. I say that if it doesn't have rails, it's unreliable. coughcoughthebuscough

You know, I don't think creating an entirely new line was necessary. They could have just extended the N line to Bayshore/Sunnydale. And the K and T lines being interlined is lame. How confusing would it be to ride the K and all of a sudden it's a T. LAME. Just make it the K Ingleside-Third St.
