I am an American, and I want to say that on behalf of most Americans, we do not think this is stupid. It's just the ignorants in our country are not used to culture. Because we really have none. Our idea of tradition is going to McDonalds and getting a Big Mac. Personally, I love Sweden, and I hope to move there in the future.

When I see these celebrations and traditions it reminds me of the parties the Mexican side of my family have. Lots of family celebrating and listening/singing with a Mariachi. Nothing beats a good family and strong traditions.....which is rare in the USA.
