She's got my dream body.

I love this scene so much. There's a lulling spark to it, it's so intimate and serene. Perfectly creates the feeling of being buzzed and calm and being with someone that you feel comfortable with. The wide shot of them dancing is very endearing and romantic.
I think what I like best about it, though, it that it's not some huge, important moment in the narrative. The show wasn't trying to lead into a relationship for them or develop anything, really. It was just a lovely moment between them.

An impressive scene how honest and romantically a man translates his admiration for a woman and Joan's cool collective response is what makes these scene even more intriguing. Mad men is superb in showing complicated and loving relations between men and women and Christina Hendricks is one of the beautful female archetypes portrayed in it and an important reason for it's success.

Paul blew it by blabbing about Joan, and she told him so.

I want to see a Mad Men 2010. Whoever is still alive from those characters observing today's generation of dumb***es - in advertising. Is Joan a revered elder stateswoman (survivor) of the industry by now, getting her picture taken with a rap artist at the Grammys?
-
I'm still hoping she leaves her douchebag husband and gets back with Paul. He seems to be the only guy she's ever been with who truly respects her.
-
Paul Kinsey and Joan? lol! Never would've put those two together.

good acting... but i guess drama is not for me

He blabbed about them being together and there was nothing worse for a woman's reputation (then or now) than for a man to tell all. *lol*

Maybe I just don't remember the finer points of the scene with Paul's play, but why is Joan mad at him here? What did he blab about (re: the "you have a big mouth" remark)?

ditto
please note that this is ep. 1.12 and not 1.13
