Fallout New Vegas - Get out of the map (easy and fast)

This method for getting out of the map requires very little running around and is quite easy to do.

I'm not sure if other people have found this method, but I actually figured this out myself, and somewhat by accident. I got turned around and I jumped over a fence thinking that I was simply taking a short cut. Then when I checked my Pipboy I realized I went out of the map.

Here's how you do it:

Go to Searchlight Airport, which is near the southeast area of the map, just south of Camp Searchlight. Once on the airport grounds you'll see 4 tanks (like fuel containers, not vehicles) immediately east of the buildings. They are in a row perpendicular to the south fence. There are little ledges around the corners of each tank. You can jump onto the ledge at the northeast corner of the tank closest to the fence and use that to get on top of the tank. When you jump onto the ledge you'll want to continue to rapidly press the jump button and push forward. If you just jump onto the ledge and stop for a break, you'll likely have a much harder time getting all the way on top. Once you get on top of the tank you just jump over the fence. It's that easy. In fact, it's a lot easier than my explanation makes it sound.

One cool thing about this method is that it is very fast and very easy to do. You can also technically do this as soon as you start a new game, although you will need to be able to get past a few hostile ghouls and some radscorpions once you get closer to Searchlight Airport.

Also, I cut a LOT of talking out of this video... it was originally about 15 minutes long, haha...

Hit the tilde key and type in: tgm and that will toggle god mode!

@mentos897 Y'know I don't even think I ever tried that. I could have sworn I did, though. Here's a fun note. If you're outside of the map and you go to the northeast area, you can find a spot where the Colorado river "starts". It's a big wall of water. You can swim out of edge of the water and you'll be swimming in the air. You slowly descend, though, but it's still hilarious.
