I think the future of BMW's customer base (City Bankers who watch Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear for purchasing advice) is a cul-de-sac. BMW needs to divest a division to fill the "nouveau socialiste" set and make accessible cars as fun and inspiring as the Mazda MX-5 (aka Eunos aka Miata.). You can only glue a limited quantity of timber onto door panels before it becomes "done", dead-end and boring. Stop ignoring the 1000,000 potential "common-class" customers and embrace the challenge. Hein?
