Project CARS is a game developed by Slightly Mad Studio (creator of Shift series and GTR). Based on realistic physics, outstanding graphics, incredible 3D core engine and smart AIs.

As this project is on initial stage of development, all seen footage is pre-alpha.

This project is currently funded by SMS under World Mass Development. WMD is a platform that let the community join the project as investors and tester.

Alright let me settle this once and for all for those who are clearly un-educated. Consoles run the same hardware as computers, the operating system is different. The reason consoles are cheap is because their specs are BARELY high enough to run games, meaning they are basically a mid-range PC with games made to conserve on stress to the system. Basically saying ANY console is better than a PC is just stupid. Consoles only have economy on their side.

This looks like possibly the best racing sim ever.

The similarity in looks is as about as far as it goes. Actually it looks even better than the first Shift and S2U. The physics engine is/has been entirely redone. I drive every build that gets released and I can say with confidence it already puts the Shift series to shame.

It's appearance is very close to shift and shift 2. One huge problem with Shift is the horrible handling. Hope that is sorted
