eq2 is dry as fuck and eq1 has way more content, i've played both since launch so don't try to tell me otherwise lawl

eq1 looks nice either way, i appreciate the lack of detailed texture compared to eq2 yet the game is so colorful, more colorful than eq1

@Shufei I finally joined an EQEmu, playing on P1999, pretty awesome :) Not quite EQ classic, but it's damn close.

Yeah, there is risk in EQ. And community, especially in the busy days. And a sense that the world meant something... The care taken with the art, especially nature, touched this solo ranger's heart. Most people came ready to be inspired and challenged. All MMO's since are rip offs.

But hey, come back to Norrath! EQEmu free servers, people. /spam  :>

Like I've said in all of my comments about EQ - EQ created an emotion in it's players unlike any other MMORPG ever created. I never felt emotion playing WoW, or EQ2, but EQ I did. Everything from it's music, to being scared of dying (due to crazy long corpse runs) and Sand Giants, and so much more, no MMORPG will ever top EQ1.
