2001 Fender 'Big Apple' Stratocaster - For Sale - $850.00
This is a hard tail version of what Fender called the 'Big Apple' strat.
Inca Silver finish -- no flaws. I think it is either Inca Silver or Shoreline gold, but I am not sure as I have never seen one. I purchased this for investment purposes, so this guitar was played minimally.
I pulled the pick guard off and it looks like somebody upgraded a different model to the two humbucker. They bought a loaded pick guard (maybe). So I am not sure if it is an original 'Big Apple', but it is loaded with the 'Big Apple' components that came on that model.
Very rare to find a hard tail.
Rosewood fingerboard, with nicely grained maple headstock and underside to neck.
Non-locking tuning machines.
It is in exceptional condition.
Original strap buttons on it.
All original components.
There is a capacitor on the volume control for the treble roll-off. So when you increase the volume, you retain a lot of the treble in the pickups. It makes it a little more usable.
5-position switch -- 2 tone controls.
Seymour Duncan -- Pearly Gates bridge pickup
Seymour Duncan -- 59 neck pickup
Stainless steel saddles -- hard tail bridge.
3-layer Pearloid pickguard.
Comes with a non-original hard shell case. An older, Fender, form-fitted plastic case with the aluminum rails on it. This is what came with it when I purchased it.
Beautiful playability. Stunning guitar to look at. Pretty rare to find one, in this kind of condition that is 10-years old with the hard tail.
Hardly every played.
Give it to me for 5 cents
