I take this medication. When I first went on it, I had no idea it would become so "addicting". However, it has helped me so much that I don't dare go off of it. I get very bad anxiety and depression. It really helps a lot with the anxiety. Running out is horrible though. I've experienced the withdrawal effects and it's very, very unpleasant. I get this horrible "zap" feeling every few seconds when I haven't taken it for a few days and I can barely stand up or think if I go too long.

It was the first AD I tried. But I got even more depressed with paroxetine...
The run out was a crashing experience.

well 30 mg: you would have to decrease by 10 mg every few weeks and monitor what happens, anything faster than one week will cause withdrawals.. how do I know that ???

hey doc- what would you consider a nice slow tapering of paxil?
i've been on SSRIs for about a year without break (guinea pig) and paxil at 30 mg for 4 months of it.
(dont worry i am getting dr advice on tuesday)
