The main active is decapeptide-12, developed at Stanford University by Dr. Basil Hantash, a Stanford Dermatologist and his team of researchers. Studies showing its potent efficacy were published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology and the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. Google "Envy Medical Decapeptide-12" for more information.

Lumixyl is completely non-toxic - completely safe for long term use. Hydroquinone is cytotoxic and should not be used long term. An excellent article to answer your question in detail at this link - wp.me /pKC3u-6h (get rid of the space before the "/p").

For example Bryan G. Forley, M.D., F.A.C.S., is quoted in a recent article saying "To maintain the results of hand rejuvenation treatments, I recommend the use of .... the new and highly effective skin brightening peptide technology Lumixyl ™. These anti-aging topical formulations work to preserve more even pigmentation and minimize the recurrence of brown spots on the hands."

It is most often used on the face, neck and chest where sun damage and hyperpigmentation is most common, but some doctors and their patients have reported good results on the arms and hands as well.

You can get rid of the pimple, but the dark stain - called PIH, or Post Inflamatory hyperpigmentation may stay for a long time. Lumixyl fades those spots and any other skin tone imperfections. For more information google "Envy Medical Blog"
