From the sound clips available to me, it sounds different than the "Human Amusements..." one, though I don't have the actual album. The mix is so different, I'd think it would be labelled differently, but I have yet to see different mixes listed in the various music services.

I don't know much about Guided by Voices' music, to be honest, but I have found the recordings to bee too low-fi.
You're right about this one- the mix and sound is excellent.

Sometimes YouTube messes with the quality of a track, screwing up how it sounds to make the file smaller. Sometimes it works for a song, it could be what's making this one sound different.
Or it's a different release :P
