This is the version of "From Another World" taken from the bootleg "Eighth Star". Both versions are similar, with only a few minor changes by Hughes. The most significant difference is that this version has a longer guitar solo by Iommi that fades out much later. This version is probably about 35 seconds longer than the one that is on DEP Sessions. I also think this guitar solo is better than the other one. Just my opinion though. Listen to both and make your own. Enjoy!

  • Great upload. The original version is better though especially since Dave Holland plays so much better. I'm a drummer myself and thinks this drumming isn't very musical at all. I know the problems Dave has and why he obviously can't play on this version but I miss his drumming even so. He is very unassuming and not very technical but has a great music sense and the right 'feel'.

  • This is Dave Holland. Jimmy Copley plays on the officially released version. This is the bootleg version that was out years before DEP Sessions was officially released.

  • @blacksabfan screw any kids lately, Dave?

  • @jugheadmcanus

I am not Dave Holland. I meant the drummer heard here is Dave Holland.

  • Iommi could fart into a microphone and he'll get five stars from me. My favorite musician ever. Glenn Hughes kicks ass too.

  • What the hell is wrong with radio stations not playing amazing music like this?? I channel surf the stations and it's just the same old sh*t every day. Someone start a station that plays lot's of Iommis music...please.

  • comments dead on this one?????

  • yes that is the fuckin true!!

  • arrangement of the composition is a natural level of Tony Iommi, incredible sound and of course, as always, exceptional bass, rhythm and great vocals by Glenn Hughes. Amazing!!!

  • the drums sound much better in the dep sessions version, but the solo here is awesome!

  • one of the few guitarists who can make his guitar wail.... those quick slide bends reaaaaaally makes his gibson weep... iommi forever!

  • I would love to hear "cry you a song" The Jethro Tull Cover on this rare album

  • I would rather hear Tony play guitar and not fart in a micraphone.
