This not-as-funny-as-they-thought-it-would-be appearance opens the 1963 game show "I've Got a Secret" (Feb. 25) by Dali putting his face in the Mona Lisa -- literally. Then he critiques artwork by regular panelists Bill Cullen, Betsy Palmer, Henry Morgan, and Bess Myerson, commenting "No comment" in each case. Is he real? Is he putting us on? You decide. In part 2 he comes across no better. This episode is an interesting contrast to his appearance on "What's My Line?" (also available on YouTube), where the whole enterprise seems more serious.

  • I love how most of the comments here are ridiculing the members of the panel and lamenting poor Dali's being subjected to them...I'm fairly certain Senor Dali knew exactly what he was getting himself into. Still, it's good to see that the great art critics of the world still have enough time to mock a 50-year-old TV show...on Youtube...

  • haha, this is awesome

  • "The sun gives rain and sunshine." That's a new one on me.

  • @Simpson654 ~ also too, salvidor's english is not so good, so to nuance these trivial copies of his work with their convoluted explanations would be extremely hard to express. "no comment" is the only appropriate answer to this nonsense.

  • @tomitstube

A great interpretation, I think Dali does well with those juvenile shit he is confronted with. But if he explained his work, he'd not be Dali. No comment.

  • commercialism meets creative genius. commercialism is made limp.

  • 02:20 "The Last Supper" was a painting also made by Da Vinci.

The name of the painting he meant was "The Sacrament of the Last Supper".

    Terrible mistake, really.

  • I think the fact the dali can barley speak english has got a lot to do with this...

  • @ieatmonkeys501 THUMB UP!
