I wonder if you know that this song was in the Nostalgia Critic's review of the Langoliers....

Marvelous! thank you for sharing... where did you get the sheet music?
-
I am a violinist myself and I cannot find this piece anywhere online for downloading or purchasing. Can you please tell me where you got it from? And you play beautifully.
-
I also have to say I love how you threw the french horn "duh duh duh" bit in!
-
Obviously an octave lower on the first verse. But beautifully played! "Erbarme Dich Mein Gott" by Bach. Check that out! Great job! Salutes and bows. Excellent playing of one of my favorite melodies!

Great performance!

Hey, this is beautiful! I've always wanted to play it. Do you happen to have music for it?
-
Amazing! Where were you able to find the sheet music for this? I've been looking everywhere!

WOW!!!! that was awesome, I play the viola. I have been playing for five years now and i really want to learn this song. and were you using the A, D, and G, strings in third position??

@violadude97 Thanks! Yeah I mostly alternate between first and third positions on G, D, and A (I use E too but only to repeat the same melody an octave higher), though I do very briefly shift to fourth (at 0:17) and second (at 0:49) for a few notes at a time. The fingerings I used were mostly what happened to feel most comfortable to me, so don't feel like you have to copy exactly how I did it. I'd love to hear this performed on a viola; it's a beautiful and vastly underrated instrument. :)

Yeah, awesome song. Great playing. They definitely contrasted the silliness of the movie with some fantastic music
What kind of violin do you have?
Great job

@Jamyute21 Thanks! :)
My violin's an 1814 John Baptist Schweitzer reproduction (which means it was likely built sometime in the late 1800's). I got it from Robert Cauer, a luthier here in Los Angeles, when I was a kid; I've had it for most of my life now.
