The video's a bit off sync because of Youtube (obviously). It isn't that noticeable, except for me, because I have the perfectly synced video...
Most people think the song "Lucy" is about someone's girlfriend or child named "Lucy" dying. That's most likely the correct interpretation, but besides for the whole "dying", this song goes very well with 5 Cm. Per Second. The song makes you cry, the movie makes you cry five times harder, and then add it together...
Honestly, I made this within four days. Therefore, it doesn't have those awesome effects most people would like to see. But, at least with this anime+song pairing, it's better without a lot of effects. It's more about the story-telling and the emotional side.
I cried in the process of making this. Because of the sad story, of course, and I realized that I didn't fully appreciate 5 Cm. Per Second when I first watched it. Mostly because I was too pissed off at the ending, even though they're fictional characters. Even to this day, I get so pissed off... Can you feel the anger in these texts I am typing down? Seriously though, if you haven't watched this movie, go watch it. But, then again, you probably got spoiled because of the AMV.
