I had a beautiful boxer named Gus, too. He only lived to six years old - he had a heart condition. He lived on herbs and medicine for three years, then his mate had cancer at six and two days after she passed, he gave up. Boxers are such special pets. I have had 12 of them over the years.

Thanks for your comment, yes we do have lots of good memories of him. We now have a new addition to our family an 18 month old red, black faced male named Axle. They certainly are a fantastic breed.

my boxer, or muzzle as we called him, died in Feburuary we took it really hard, he was the best dog we ever had...there are dogs, than theres the boxer

I had a boxer who died when I was in Pre-school. Her name was maggie, and she died of cancer. I was mortified. I still am, frankly. My new boxer is Tuscan. He's just as special as Maggie was to me. I know what you've been through, friend, I know.

my boxer dog henry died when i was about 7 or 6 im 13 now and still badly miss him i have a boxer named cassie now and she is a beautiful little boxer she is 5 now and i love her to peaces

I'm truly sorry for your loss. The video brought tears to my eyes. It's a little funny, a few short years ago I never had a dog, now I have two boxers that I love as my children and can't imagine the pain I would feel after they've passed. I find it amazing how much dog lovers can relate to one another. I hope your newest boxer brings you great joy!
