@AxiMaxi Wow, managed to get it open by only using my nails. Not even sore fingers and hey, look, there's the broken contact of the connector! Nice job for tonight ;-) Thanks again!

Haha, isn't this amazing? I was hoping to find a clip or otherwise presented information on how to open my Clip+ and here it is! Need to fix the earphone connector. Thanks for the help!

@nhvietdung Well I just did it with my thumbnail for the first time. Completely screwed my nail and my figner hurts, but at least I didn't damage the casing :p Reason for disassembly was the damp power button that got disconnected after a fall.
Thanks for the video @tubeslicker

thx. managed to fix the earphone plug connector. make sure you take them apart carfully because the cable from the battery to the printboard broke on my device.

PITA!

Thanks you so much. You saved my Clip +.
i had to use a knife and a victorinox, like 14nn. I had the earphone plug broken, it was a little hard beacause it was near the resistances but finally i could fix it.

@nhvietdung You are correct about this not being the first time I've opened this particular player. The first time I cracked this open by wedging a screwdriver in the crack. But I've opened other clip+ for the first time using just my nails. It's possible. Your fingers will be sore the next day.
I just posted a video of me opening an older clip. I opened that one the first time with just my thumbnails. Now that one was much more difficult the first time around. TIP, grow out your nails.

The trick is to press your thumbnail down firmly while sliding it down the crack. Pressing down firmly with your nail will release the inner clasps holding the halves together.
