Cochlear Implant 1 year later

This is me and one of the boys i babysit who has a cochlear implant and is now forming his first words at the age of 8. He gets a little annoyed at the end b/c we were doing this during a movie...

There is more winners then losers in C.Implant world, I just had bad luck, we knew it was going to be a problem before I had it done.Took them a year to decide if its worth me having it done, and also I had to have 2 Ops before C.implant,Its now out :-(

I had it a year Spicychick, as for mold, I find that hard to believe..

It just sad that theres some negative comments for ones who want cochlear for their own, not for other people's reasons. Like myself I got c.i. because I know that I am not happy with myself, unable to be involve with my families, in the world, and many more reasons. I have it for a little over month now. I am still happy that I recieved it. Yes, to everyone, I am aware of risks, and hard lifelong learning the sounds with it.

while removing cochlear implant, Doctor found green MOLD growing inside cochlear implant metal plate. I'm lucky to be alive today!!!

What are you doing to say to the Mexicans, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Asian people who move here and have NO IDEA how to speak English, and as they learn English as a second language, and speak or write in broken English, how are you doing to respond to them? man y'all don't understand about deaf culture for shit! deafnativepride is right! he don't talk right but that ASL "American Sign Language" that how deaf people talk and hearing talk english. Deaf have their own culture of speaking ASL. Cochlear Implant don't mean nothing to deaf people! wait till they get old they'll be pissed about it! good luck... I had alot friend who had cochlear implant they threw it in trash!! or never used it! i'm serious CIs man why why why!?! y'all cruel to deaf plp
