Video shot by http://VintagePowerSport.com , this is a Tomahawk bike with V10 Viper engine being built at RM Motorsports in Wixom, MI. Video was shot December 10, 2010, at this time 2 bikes were in the process of being built there. Only a limited handful of these bikes will ever be built ... the manufacturing is very much a custom hand built process, executed by some of the best performance vehicle craftsmen in the industry.

Note: the yellow appearing finish on some of the parts, is masking tape that is being used to protect the aluminum surface finish during the current stage of construction.

While many people will claim this bike to be the Fastest Bike in the world, there is no proof of such a claim .. it certainly looks fast, but this bike is more of a rare show piece than a racing bike.

  • Thanks, this answers a lot of engineering questions i have had about the bike.

Yet the one thing i really want to see and hear about is how well/ or not it turns and handles.

  • @neilsaness - honestly, it's a show bike. I am an engineer, and build & race vehicles ... this bike looks much better than it actually performs. Developing something that looks good is one thing, taking it to the level of high performance is a lot more development work. As far as I know, the basic unique design concepts, remain unproven and not fully developed. This bike was designed and built to create a splash at the Detroit Auto show, which it accomplished very well!

  • @foxkart61 Thanks Foxkarts6,

I built and ride bikes and I love engineering, but I dont like engineering if it sacrifices performance, theres no point. One thing i like about ducati for example is that they have the skill to combine looks and performance.

    Cheers Neil

  • @neilsaness ... Yes, I understand that point of view, being an automotive engineer. This bike certainly is not a refined Ducati production bike .. but instead, it is an out-of-the-box concept vehicle. While out-of-the-box concepts are not always refined or even workable .. they do open engineering thought and development to move in new directions, an engineer can admire that aspect of the Tomahawk.

  • Oh and more! Instead of elongating the Foot Rests a foot back. Just keep them where they would naturally sit on a normal motorcycle.

Anyways, Yeah I know this was just a concept.. But I was expecting more of a vehicle which looked badass. Not this skeletal structured bike. whatever lol Looks ok though.

  • A quick question for you. Um why not Rebuild the Tomahawk, to look like the Monotracer. I mean not copy the monotracer system. But I mean build a cacoon shaped enclosed cabin around the bike, Using the same side sliding twin wheel design of this concept and incorporate it into a Enclosed Cabin Motorcycle.

For interior, keep the interior like how you would naturally sit on a Super Bike.

I have a picture of a bike design, I would like to share with you if you don't mind.

  • wow I like bikes, this is no bike, this is a DREAM MACHINE with attitude.......lov it

  • nice video
