  • @Zee96969696 Both are equally dangerous, but I'd say corrections is more hazardous. Police have many more tools to use then your average correctional officer. Where I work, we have batons and pepper spray. Guns are kept in towers because you wouldn't want an inmate getting their hands on them. We have the luxury of knowing everyone around us is a convicted criminal and potentially violent, police don't know what they're facing when they roll up on someone. Both jobs are demanding.

  • @whitehawk852 Because, in the world of jails and prisons, soups are one of the few things inmates can purchase in the commissary or canteens. Currency is placed on trust account books for the inmates, but they can't possess it while incarcerated. That being said, soups, hygiene supplies and other items that inmates purchase also serve as a form of currency. The soups they're talking about are top ramen.

  • Did he say "whyd you take my soup" in 0:16

  • @Zee96969696 I would say corrections is more dangerous because literally everyone around you is a criminal.

  • @SwingLeft This video was shown at my brother's graduation. He graduated from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Academy last May!

  • do you have to do corrections first before going patrol in LVMPD?

  • which job more dangerous? this or police? i think that i don't know, i think they both dangerous

  • Great video! I'm a DO Sergeant with MCSO here in Phoenix Az and I must say that your academy looks a lot like ours. I worked as an RTO for a year in our academy and you guys are real pros. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

  • Did you see the TAC staff in belly chains, I knew they were dirty !
