Does this fit the media narrative?

"At the time of Capt. Araguz's death, however, the couple had been separated for months, and Nikki Araguz was interested in obtaining a divorce."

How could Nikki be grieving her husband if they were "separated for months" and were moving forward with divorce proceedings? That question sure fits the "transgender people are deceptive" storyline that the American media has been spinning for more than 100 years now... But it is based in reality?

The Washington Times:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/aug/10/born-boy-but-fighting-for-dea...

The mother-in-law (Simona Rodriguez Longoria) said in court that her goal was to "freeze Nikki out." All of Mrs. Araguz's assets are currently frozen and unavailable to her.

If you would like to help support Nikki in her hour of desperate need, donate to the TG Center Nikki Araguz Fund. The TG Center Nikki Araguz Fund not only support Nikki's ongoing legal battle, it also provides for her day-to-day needs. Donations can be made online at http://tiny.cc/nikkisfund. • @jllsjlls Check out this video: watch?v=59-Rn1_kWAA

I'd be interested in hearing what you think.

  • @jllsjlls Oh, thank goodness. I was hoping that you weren't going to be person #1001 to make that lame argument.

  • @jllsjlls Yes, as a rule of thumb, in clinical record keeping, we tend to refer to intersex people with the term, DSD - especially when doing billing. However, I'd still like you to cite where you got the idea that people with DSD are different from people who are intersex. Anyone can make any claim they like; however, it would be helpful to your premise to substantiate your claim with something other than your opinion. Something peer-reviewed would be nice.

  • @jllsjlls So, you're saying that there's folks who have DSD and then there are intersex people and that they are completely different? Can you please cite?

Yes, the bird and bee story is cute. I can see that someone told you where babies come from. Are you really going to argue that sex = ability to procreate? You might want give that one a second thought and check PubMed first.

  • @jllsjlls Here's my premise: There's male, female and intersex.

Here's yours: There's only male and female.

You substituted the term intersex for DSD and claimed victory. I thought that was cute.

  • @jllsjlls Excellent, another ad hom and equivocation!

You're right because saying DSD instead of intersex obviously means that there's only the male/female binary. Imirite? You've totally PWND me with your superior logic.

Since you've already inferred that I'm stupid and that I lie, you might as well get all of your ad hom attackes out of your system. Go on. You know you want to do it. If you call me fat, it might make you even more right :)

  • @jllsjlls Ah, now we're moving onto equivocation to support your premise? Logical fallacies are fun.

  • No, you were talking about Klinefelters. I was talking about IS conditions as a whole. The 1 in 500 number comes from the American Journal of Human Biology 12:151-166 (2000). I've not written the word "Klinefelter" in a reply until just now.

You're the one arguing that there's 2 sexes and intersex people are either male or female, but not both. *grins*

Your response made me smile. You're trying so hard :)

  • @jllsjlls Of course, only 2 sexes and nothing in-between. Except for those intersex people you were talking about, but even intersex people can only be male or female, right? Because that's some epic logic right there! Also, I think your there are birds and bees effort to was cute :)

  • @jllsjlls So, your argument is that there's 2 sexes; there's also lots of intersex people; therefore there are 2 sexes. Interesting. Yup, that's the exact airtight logic I expected to hear. Also, the ad hom attack added a lot of convincing credibility to your argument.
