"holding on" - contemporary christian dance

sometimes there is nothing to hold onto...
but hope.

i was given this song to choreograph for two girls back in november 09. the song had a great message and profound lyrics...but it wasn't until january 13, 2010 that i realized how profound.

i found out that day that a friend of mine, david hames, was trapped in a hotel in haiti after the earthquake. it was almost a month before we learned for sure that he did not survive the disaster.

the outcome ended in heartbreak for those of us who knew him. for david, he is with God and is at peace.

our hope will continue.
hope to see david again one day in heaven.
hope that his family can continue this life without him.
hope that God is still in control, through any disaster.

please look at the lyrics to the song, what is amazing to me is that it specifically says "let the earth quake, our hope is unchanged"

one more thing, before people comment too much on us not being totally together, yes it is true. it is not as polished - but, I had to step in and dance this time through b/c one of the girls couldn't make it. :)
