Bobby Rydell had the hit with this (his last one, btw) It's a great song, and Gary does it justice. Gary Lewis and the Playboys were one of THE best pop groups of the '60s. Pop music at its absolute best.

@spacepatrolman Hey i'm BRITISH !! When Tony wrote this song in the 1960's, maybe '42nd Street' was considered as downtown !! I bet you don't know about the all the streets in the UK, you've got to see it from his point of view too :) xx
