Television going off the air at 11:00 PM, no remotes, rabbit ears, tv aerials on every roof. Kids these days just don't know.

Why is it so blurry?

“It’s just simple matter of mathematics sir; there are 470 men on your flagship, 20 on ours, on ours!” (2:00 Wildstar salutes! Capt. Avatar)

Star Blazers was not the first anime series to come to the United States. Yet, it was the first anime series to become very popular series in the United States. Not all viewers of the series around 1980 or 1981 were children. Actually college students were likely the main fans of the series. Speed Racer did came out in the late 1960's. I remember parts of the series. It was presented as a serial on the channel which I watch it on.

@theaaron0 Actually William Street put it online. They never put on TV for whatever reason, maybe the one you stated, lack of interest. But they were showing episodes on the web way back during the peak of "Toonami, Midnight Run and Rising Sun"

It started off really good, but it got to be like Battlestar Galactica (the 70's version), good at first then repetitious and going nowhere. No different then 95% of the rest of the stuff made for TV I guess.
