This is a concern I have with my bearded dragon I noticed him making this "gasp for air" motion and weird sound and was wondering if people could tell me what it meant. Whether he is sick or if it's normal.

new researcdh shows that Solar glo bulbs arent as good as they had initially though LINK HERE------

  • How's he doing now?

  • @redninja952 unfortunately I had to sell him I moved across country and the people I were with would not have wanted him in their house let alone a humongous cage haha.

  • stupid this happens when u dont dry ur beardie after taking him a bath. So what u do is take him to a vet. Taking him another bath wont help.

  • @milkarandy I never gave him bathes after he made that noise I am not dumb. So why don't you think before you speak thanks.

  • @Shortstickman Aw, didn't that suck

  • that was it yawnig

  • Sounds like he ate a squeakie toy.

  • Consider the beardie's perspective; he's holding his breath if he's in water and has to swim then he's learning, still figuring out when and how long he has to hold his breath for. Watch his breathing mechanics. Pick him up out of the water, and you might notice that he might still be holding his breath even after being "magically pulled out of the water" (from his perspective), especially if he's scared. It's a big new world for him. That's all. Let him learn, and you'll learn in the process.

  • Looks like he's let out a nice exhale.

  • my beardie keep licking me is tht suppose to happen

  • mine does it too... every beardy does it... because the stop breathing if their nose is near the water... then they start breathing like "this" if the nose above the water....

  • oh mine does the same exact thing he gets dog hair or water in his throat and "coughs"
