i put this game into the Xbox360 when I first got it... watched this opening vid and was BLOWN AWAY by the graphics! But this theme in the middle (1:32) got me right away. I was close to tears and i didn't even play the game yet!!! Ah... =,D

I agree that FF13 is totally different from other FFs in the series. However I still love FF13 even though it feels somehow awkward. I played all Final Fantasies except 11 and 14, FF13 is not my personal favorite but still it's a good game.

@Peace1ProudCanadian uhhh, though i want to respect other opinion but FFXIII's character development is its strong point? Man, i agree that this game is good and not as bad as people make it out to be but its characters are horrible and unrealistic, it seems like they makes these characters for kids under 10. They are not one dimension, they're just unreasonable unrealistics and "crazy", try to think if there's anyone you have met IRL that you can relate to Snow, Hope...etc.

@bub777 also forgot to mention that this song does seem to have a lot in common with the "Moment of Truth" song from Final Fantasy X. Oddly enough, they're written by the same composer (Masashi Hamauzu).

Though this song is drastically different from the previous Final Fantasy "classic" preludes, I think the second half of the song has a lot in common with the "Main Theme of Final Fantasy", than anything else (just done Hamauzu's way).

@Peace1ProudCanadian "By the end of the game, all of the characters feel like different people with different motivations," how exactly? hope is still whiny and annoying, lightning is still a bitch, snow is still obsessed with being a hero for no reason, space-pope is still bland and uninteresting. You compare any of the characters in FFXIII to seymour in FFX and then you can see what complexity in characters is.
