I once had a 30lb flathead out of the water for about 45 minutes to an hour and he still swam off when I let him go. The only reason I was trying to catch him was to get him out of a retirement home pond because he was eating the baby ducks. I wasn't going to eat it cause the pond was in the middle of a big city. After a while they just said,"he's been with us so long... just let him go." It was raining so his skin and eyes didn't dry out and he just swam off.

Why do people like catfish so much? They're one of the nastiest fish to eat, have you guys even tried other fish? I'd only eat catfish if my life depended on it. Look at what they eat, you can catch them with garbage, because they eat garbage, and they only live in dirty waters most of them. Catfish are fun as hell to fish though thats for sure
