The best fishing trip ever -

A fishing trip in an open boat inside the famous Atlanterhavsvei Mid norway in Febuary.
Large cod,Lyng,Squid,Pollock,Whiting all in less than 2 hours - after which we were visited by 5 fish Eagles who dived for scraps.

how cold is the water? If you fell how long would you have before you freeze?

The water wasnt that cold -

There was the occasional bit of icing up in the boat harbour.

It was a very calm and still day.

hey Noel, surely, mistaking a fishing lure for something edible is enough.

Been doing some reading up on these creatures - seems the growth rate is something like 2 cms/day on average. Quite amazing.

The esca is a new product - it is not entirely consistent, but there are times when nothing else works.

I guess i enjoy my fishing allomst too much to spend time doing proper research on this device.

Brendan - the fishing here is awesome - you will have to visit - im sure we both have a lot to learn from each other.

I still want that 70kg halibut.

@nedeljkomostar dinner for 20, we had about 70kg of fish and 6 very fine squid.

We tried to give some fish to the eagles, but they only went for the guts.
