The F1 cars didnt have the 'bus stop' chicane. After Tommy Kendall crashed there and JD McDuffie died they put it in.

good to see there are still vee`s running in the east... the west has only like 9 vee`s on a regular basis, and formula fords only get 1 or 2 entries in that class

I've heard the Formula BMW (or even star mazda) cars are quicker there. Possibly as fast as the old F1 Cars? Is this true? They should be faster than formula fords with downforce and all but ~30s faster i'm not so sure. I think I heard incorrectly.

a good Formula Atlantic time these days is probably a 1:46. Downforce helps, but horsepower rules at the Glen.

What are your lap times compared to the F1 cars when they used to run there? Are you running the same course they did?
