@forensicscientist86 Sort of. If you subject yourself to a small amount of snake venom say once a week, and keep increasing the amount over a few months or years, when you get bitten by that same species of snake the reaction should be less damaging than if you hadn't gotten your body used to the venom in the first place.

@forensicscientist86 I agree with @zmozo . Corn snakes or Royal pythons are best, they don't get too big, and are usually quite tame. Or why not ask your brother who keeps snakes? He sounds like he knows his stuff
