@frankreed601 Hey Frank, I didn't know you had scooter as a student. Very cool.

I was fortunate enough to have Scott as a student for a couple of years during his time at North Texas, mainly sharing the trumpet methods of the great Don Jacoby with him. He was and still is an amazing young player! I was in attendance at this concert and after playing lead the whole night, this was the last tune on the program. What very few folks realize is that he was very sick with a flu bug that night with a high fever. He could play like that on a night most of us would be home in bed.

Great , but missed the last note

The craziest part of this video is that is from a One O'Clock Lab concert and theres no telling how many tunes they had already played before this one or how many more they were gonna play after this lip destroyer.

@trumpetman1989 Im a Trumpet player too and i would happen to know that this in the original key that Maynard happen to play it in. if you had half a brain and were really a trumpet player you WOULD know that Scott Englebright is one of the few people, there are any others, who have played it just as good as Maynard if not, in my opinion, better. YOU'RE AN IDIOT if you really think they lowered the chart for Scooter. You sir should quit playing trumpet if you're going to make smart ass remarks.

@elelsey Yea, totally agree. Scott also did it at the end of playing lead for the One O'Clock. It seems like that didn't phase him one bit either.
Truly amazing, MF left a legacy of fabulous trumpet players-- this 'Tastee bro' is one of the very very best!
